Which Black Knight manifold should I pick?

Will this gauge fit my manifold?

If your manifold uses a standard 1/4″ SAE rear connection for the gauges (which most professional HVAC manifolds do — including all Black Knight models, Yellow Jacket, Robinair, CPS, and others), yes. Check the gauge size first: 68mm goes in compact / economy manifolds, 80mm (3-1/8″) goes in the full-face pro manifolds. Pick the size that matches the gauge you're replacing.

What does "Class 1.6" gauge accuracy mean?

Class 1.6 is the European Standard for analog pressure gauge accuracy — readings are within ±1.6% of full scale across the operating range. For a 500 PSI gauge, that's ±8 PSI. This is the professional service tier (Class 2.5 is consumer-grade, Class 1.0 is lab-grade). Class 1.6 gives you the precision needed for proper subcool / superheat charging without the cost of lab-grade gauges.

What refrigerants is THIS replacement gauge calibrated for?

Each Black Knight replacement gauge is pre-calibrated for a specific refrigerant family — check the hero pills at the top of this page or the product title for the specific scope. Can I use this gauge on a non-Black-Knight manifold?

Yes — the standard 1/4″ SAE rear connection fits most professional HVAC manifolds (Yellow Jacket, Robinair, CPS, Imperial, and others) as long as they use the same fitting standard. Class 1.6 accuracy is the pro service tier, so you may actually upgrade an older manifold's gauge accuracy by installing a Black Knight replacement. Verify the gauge size (68mm or 80mm) matches your manifold before ordering.

How do I know if my gauge needs replacement?

Signs of a failed or out-of-calibration gauge: (1) needle reads non-zero at atmospheric pressure (with hoses disconnected), (2) face fogs from internal moisture, (3) needle sticks or jumps under steady pressure, (4) rubber cover degrades and stops protecting the case, (5) readings disagree with a known-good gauge by more than ±1.6% on the same pressure source. Any one of these = time to replace.

Can I return an unused gauge?

Yes — free returns within 30 days for unused replacement gauges in original packaging. Once a gauge has been threaded into a manifold body, it's considered used and not eligible for return (we can't resell an installed gauge). Read our full return policy.
