Which gasket pack do I need?

Match the fitting: 1/4″ neoprene hose gaskets for standard charging hose ends, 1/2″ high-pressure rubber gaskets for larger high-side connections, and gaskets with brass depressors for service-port caps that need to hold the Schrader valve open. See the product title and hero pills for the exact size.

How do I know a gasket is worn?

Signs of a worn gasket: (1) a slow leak at a connection that's tight, (2) the rubber looks flattened, cracked, or glossy-hard, (3) you can't pull or hold a deep vacuum through that fitting, (4) oil weeping at the joint. A 30-cent gasket swap fixes leaks techs waste hours chasing.

Why does durometer matter?

Durometer is rubber hardness. Too hard and the gasket won't conform to seal; too soft and it extrudes out under pressure. A generic O-ring that 'almost fits' often fails on both counts. These gaskets are cut to the correct durometer for HVAC service pressure, so they seat clean and stay put.

Are they refrigerant-safe?

Yes — neoprene/nitrile compound that resists refrigerant oils and all common HFC and A2L refrigerants (R-410A, R-22, R-134a, R-404A, R-32, R-454B). The 1/2″ high-pressure gaskets are rated for R-410A high-side connections.

How often should I replace them?

Replace at the first sign of a connection leak, or proactively when a gasket looks flattened or hardened. Many techs swap hose-end gaskets annually as cheap preventive maintenance — a fresh seal pulls deeper vacuum and holds charge better. That's why they come in a multi-pack.

What are the brass-depressor gaskets for?

Service-port caps sometimes need to hold the Schrader valve open (or seal around a depressor). Gaskets with integrated brass depressors do both — seal the cap and manage the valve core. Match these to caps that call for a depressor.
