HCPRO Black Knight tube cutters are the dedicated cutting tools for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and automotive copper / brass / aluminum / PVC tubing — Black Knight precision tracking rollers, built-in deburring reamer, and heavy-duty steel cutting wheel. Available in mini (HC-TC1), pocket (HC-TC2), and professional (HC-TC3, HC-TC4) sizes to match the tubing range and workspace constraints of every service call.
Black Knight precision tracking rollers
Every Black Knight tube cutter rides on HCPRO Black Knight precision tracking rollers — the branded 2-roller (HC-TC1, HC-TC2, HC-TC3) or 4-roller (HC-TC4) system that keeps the cutting wheel square to the tubing through every rotation. Square wheel + steady tracking = clean, burr-free cuts and no anti-flare chatter on the tubing surface.
Built-in deburring reamer
Every Black Knight tube cutter has a built-in deburring reamer — fold-out blade tucked into the cutter handle that reams the inner edge of the cut tubing in one motion. No reaching for a separate deburring tool. Clean, flare-ready cuts on the rooftop or in the truck bay without breaking the workflow.
Heavy-duty steel cutting wheel
High-grade hardened steel cutting wheel slices through copper, brass, aluminum, and PVC tubing without dulling under daily service load. Quick-change wheel replacement when it eventually wears (years of pro use). Extra cutting wheel included on the HC-TC3 and HC-TC4 — field replacement built into the kit, no separate purchase.

Does HCPRO warranty the products?
Yes — every HCPRO Black Knight product ships with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal professional use. We'll replace the manifold, gauges, or hoses if they fail to meet stated specs. See our full warranty terms.
Which Black Knight manifold should I pick?
The cutter lineup is small enough that the size comparison above is the fastest way to pick. The HC-TC3 is the workhorse for most residential HVAC work — covers up to 1-1/4″ copper, which handles 95% of residential and light-commercial line sets. Step up to HC-TC4 if you also cut larger commercial lines or heavy plumbing.
Which tube cutter size do I need?
Pick the cutter that matches the largest tubing you regularly cut — bigger cutters handle smaller sizes too. HC-TC1 (1/8″–7/8″) for mini-split linesets and tight residential service. HC-TC2 (1/8″–1-1/8″) for general residential HVAC and plumbing. HC-TC3 (1/8″–1-1/4″) for full residential and light-commercial copper lines. HC-TC4 (1/8″–1-3/4″) for commercial copper, large-bore refrigeration, and big plumbing runs.
What does "Class 1.6" gauge accuracy mean?
Class 1.6 is the European Standard for analog pressure gauge accuracy — readings are within ±1.6% of full scale across the operating range. For a 500 PSI gauge, that's ±8 PSI. This is the professional service tier (Class 2.5 is consumer-grade, Class 1.0 is lab-grade). Class 1.6 gives you the precision needed for proper subcool / superheat charging without the cost of lab-grade gauges.
What materials can these cutters handle?
HCPRO Black Knight tube cutters cut copper, brass, aluminum, and PVC tubing. Copper is the most common (HVAC refrigerant line sets, plumbing water lines). Brass for plumbing fittings and some refrigerant lines. Aluminum for some modern HVAC systems and automotive A/C. PVC for drain lines, condensate plumbing, and irrigation. The heavy-duty steel cutting wheel handles all four without changeover.
How do I use the built-in deburring reamer?
After cutting the tubing, fold out the reamer blade tucked into the cutter handle. Insert the reamer into the cut end of the tubing and rotate to ream the inner edge — removes the lip created by the cutting wheel and prepares the tubing for proper flaring or fitting connection. Burr removal takes 2-3 rotations on copper, similar on brass. No separate deburring tool required.
When should I replace the cutting wheel?
Signs your cutting wheel is dull and ready to replace: (1) cuts take noticeably more rotations to complete than when new, (2) burr on cut tubing is heavier than usual (signals dull wheel chewing rather than slicing), (3) visible nicks, chips, or flat spots on the cutting edge, (4) cutting wheel binds or slips during rotation. HC-TC3 and HC-TC4 ship with an extra wheel in the handle for field replacement. HC-TC1 and HC-TC2 wheels are sold separately.
Can I return an unused tube cutter?
Yes — free returns within 30 days for unused tube cutters in original packaging. Once a cutter has been used on tubing (the cutting wheel shows wear marks), it's considered used and not eligible for return. Read our full return policy.
