A 3-port 3/8″ SAE vacuum tee — connect pump, system, and micron gauge on one unrestricted junction, no manifold bottleneck
Vacuum-rated to 20 microns — full 3/8″ bore means no flow restriction, so your pump reaches deep vacuum faster than through a manifold
Skip the restrictive manifold for evacuation — the Quick-Y gives the pump a direct, wide-open path to the system for the fastest possible pull-down
HCPRO-designed to Black Knight specifications and quality-control standards — engineered in Miami, built to spec by our manufacturing partner
3-port 3/8″ tee.
No manifold choke.
20-micron rated.
The HCPRO Black Knight HCY38 Quick-Y Vacuum Adapter is a 3-port 3/8″ SAE tee that gives your pump a direct, unrestricted path to the system — skip the manifold bottleneck for evacuation and pull deep vacuum dramatically faster. Vacuum-rated to 20 microns.
3/8″ wide-open evacuation path
A standard manifold is built for charging, not evacuation — its internal passages choke vacuum flow and slow your pull-down. The Quick-Y is a 3-port 3/8″ SAE tee with full unrestricted bore: connect your vacuum pump, the system, and a micron gauge, and the pump gets a direct wide-open path. Deep vacuum, dramatically faster.
True micron reading, 20-micron rated
The third port holds your micron gauge right at the system — so you read true system vacuum, not a number distorted by manifold restriction. Vacuum-rated to 20 microns with no internal leak points, the Quick-Y lets your gauge tell you the truth about when the system is actually dry and tight.
The pro evacuation shortcut
Serious evacuation techs pull vacuum through the Quick-Y, not the manifold — then switch to the manifold only for charging. Pair it with a 3/8″ Dual Force evacuation hose and a Black Knight vacuum pump for the fastest deep-vacuum setup you can build. Solid brass, 3/8″ SAE all around.
Full Product Description
The HCPRO Black Knight HCY38 is a 3-port Quick-Y vacuum tee that lets you evacuate and charge through a single 3/8" SAE connection — cutting pull-down time on every job.
Key features
- 3-port tee combines vacuum pump, micron gauge and charging line on one 3/8" SAE connection
- Large 3/8" bore for high-conductance, faster evacuation
- Forged brass, leak-tight under deep vacuum
- HCPRO-designed to Black Knight specifications
Pair with a 3/8" evacuation hose and vacuum pump for the fastest pull-down a 1/4" setup can't reach.

Does HCPRO warranty the products?
Yes — every HCPRO Black Knight product ships with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal professional use. We'll replace the manifold, gauges, or hoses if they fail to meet stated specs. See our full warranty terms.
What is the Quick-Y and why use it?
It's a 3-port 3/8″ vacuum tee that replaces your manifold during evacuation. A manifold's internal passages restrict vacuum flow and slow pull-down. The Quick-Y gives the pump a direct, full-bore path to the system plus a dedicated micron-gauge port — so you pull deep vacuum faster and read it accurately. Switch to your manifold only for charging.
How much faster is it than a manifold?
Significant — especially on larger systems and long line sets. The manifold is the hidden bottleneck most techs don't realize is slowing evacuation. Combined with a 3/8″ Dual Force evacuation hose (vs 1/4″) and a strong pump, the Quick-Y setup can cut evacuation time substantially versus pulling through a 1/4″-port manifold.
How do I set it up?
Connect the three 3/8″ ports: one to your vacuum pump (via 3/8″ hose), one to the system service port, and one to your micron gauge. Pull vacuum directly through the tee. When the gauge reads a tight deep vacuum and holds, you're done — then disconnect and switch to the manifold for charging.
Is it refrigerant-specific?
No — it's an evacuation accessory, so it's refrigerant-agnostic. Use it on R-410A, R-32, R-454B, R-22, R-134a — any system you evacuate. The Quick-Y handles the vacuum side; refrigerant type only matters when you switch to the manifold for charging.
What do I pair it with?
The complete fast-evacuation setup: HCY38 Quick-Y + Dual Force 3/8″ evacuation hose + a Black Knight vacuum pump (HCBK-6D or HCBK-12DC for the most flow). Everything stays 3/8″ wide-bore from pump to system, so nothing chokes the vacuum.
Can I leave it connected during charging?
You can, but the Quick-Y is optimized for evacuation. For charging you'll want your manifold's metered control. Most techs evacuate through the Quick-Y, then swap to the manifold to charge — it's a quick disconnect either way.
Can I return an unused Quick-Y?
Yes — free returns within 30 days for unused units in original packaging. Read our full return policy.
