Micro-leaks, pinhole leaks, and porous metal leaks — the slow, hard-to-find type that drops system pressure over weeks or months. It does NOT seal mechanical leaks at fittings that aren't tightened properly, fractured copper lines, or split hoses. For those, replace the component. Once per year per system is the standard PM cadence — typically done during the spring or fall service call. For fleet vehicles, food-service refrigeration, or critical-uptime commercial systems, twice a year. For new install startup, inject one dose after the system is charged and running to pre-seal hose-to-fitting joints. One 12-pack kit covers a full year of PM for a 12-unit account or six months for a fleet of 24.

Yes — rated for operation up to 800 PSI. Modern R-410A and A2L refrigerant systems operate at higher pressures than legacy R-22 (up to ~650 PSI in extreme conditions). The sealant is engineered to remain stable and effective at those pressures.

It depends on the OEM. Some HVAC manufacturers prohibit sealant injection on warrantied units; others permit professional-grade sealants that don't clog system components. Check the equipment warranty terms before injection. For documented compliance, keep the receipt and SDS with the service record.
