The HCPRO refrigerant recovery cylinder is a DOT 4BA-certified steel tank with dual liquid/vapor valves and a pressure-relief device — the safe, reusable place for the refrigerant you recover.

DOT-certified for safe recovery & transport

Recovered refrigerant has to go somewhere legal. This cylinder is built and stamped to U.S. DOT 4BA standards, so the refrigerant you pull off a system can be stored and transported in compliance — not in a tank that puts you at risk of a fine or a rupture.

Dual liquid + vapor valves

Separate liquid and vapor service valves let you pull or push refrigerant in the phase you need, and an integrated pressure-relief device protects the tank from overpressure. Standard service-port threads connect straight to your recovery machine and hoses.

Reusable, refillable, jobsite-tough

DOT 4BA is the U.S. Department of Transportation specification for refillable steel cylinders used to store and transport refrigerant. It means the tank is built and tested to legally and safely hold recovered refrigerant — not a repurposed or single-use container.

Should I get the 30 lb or 50 lb?

The 30 lb cylinder is lighter and ideal for mobile techs and smaller residential or automotive jobs. The 50 lb cylinder holds more for commercial and high-volume recovery. Never fill past 80% of capacity — size the cylinder to the charge you expect to recover.

Which refrigerants can I recover into it?

It works with R-134a, R-410A, R-22, R-404A and most common refrigerants. Best practice is to dedicate a cylinder to one refrigerant and label it — don't mix recovered refrigerants in the same tank.
